1、What is the best cleanroom wall panel for pharmaceutical facilities?
"There is no single ""best"" panel, but rather the most suitable one for your budget and sterile requirements. For pharmaceutical facilities following strict GMP guidelines, or sterile pharmaceutical areas and high-grade GMP environments, HPL panels and high-performance coated steel panels are commonly selected because they offer smooth surfaces, good chemical resistance, and easy cleaning. In less critical production areas, PPGI panels may provide a cost-effective solution while still meeting cleanroom requirements.

The most suitable panel should balance hygiene performance, durability, fire resistance, and long-term maintenance costs."
2、How much do cleanroom wall panels cost?
"Cleanroom wall panel costs vary depending on the panel material, core type, thickness, surface finish, fire rating, and project quantity. The final price depends heavily on three things:
The Core: Standard rockwool is the most economical, while glass-magnesium or aluminum honeycomb cost more.
The Skin: Standard PPGI steel sheet is budget-friendly, while anti-static coatings or HPL sheets increase the cost.
Specifications: Total thickness (usually 50mm) and the steel sheet gauge (0.5mm vs 0.6mm).
If you have a layout drawing, our team can run a quick takeoff to give you an itemized factory quotation."
3、What is the difference between HPL and PPGI cleanroom panels?

The choice comes down to structural budget versus durability needs. Here is a quick, practical comparison:

Feature PPGI Cleanroom Panels HPL Cleanroom Panels
Material Pre-painted galvanized steel High-pressure laminate surface
Impact Resistance Good, but severe impacts can leave dents Exceptional; highly resistant to chemical, scratches and dents
Chemical Tolerance Handles standard sanitizers well Maximum; completely immune to aggressive VHP
Application industrial cleanrooms and controlled environments pharmaceutical and laboratory environments (hygiene standards are required)
Price Point Economical; the industry standard for most areas Premium; typically reserved for heavy-duty sterile zones

4、Which cleanroom wall panel is easiest to maintain and disinfect?
Panels with smooth, non-porous, and well-sealed surfaces are generally easier to maintain. They are also more convenient for regular disinfection and cleaning. HPL surfaces are widely used because they resist stains, cleaning agents, and repeated disinfection. High-quality coated steel panels can also provide good cleanability when properly installed with sealed joints.
5、How long do cleanroom panels last?
Under standard operating conditions and with regular maintenance, a high-quality cleanroom panel system will easily last 15 to 25+ years. Selecting corrosion-resistant materials and appropriate surface finishes can significantly extend the lifespan of the cleanroom enclosure system.
Are modular cleanroom panels GMP compliant?
They can be. GMP compliance depends on the overall cleanroom design, materials, sealing quality, and construction standard, not just the panel itself.
6、What fire rating should cleanroom wall panels have?
Ideally, cleanroom panels should carry a Class A non-combustible fire rating. Our Rockwool and Glass-Magnesium sandwich panels are certified Class A materials. They can withstand temperatures over 1,000°C and provide 1 to 2 hours of fire resistance, which meets strict local building codes and industrial insurance mandates worldwide.
7、Can cleanroom panels resist VHP sterilization and frequent cleaning?
Yes, Panels used in aseptic production areas often need to tolerate vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VHP), alcohol-based disinfectants, and other cleaning chemicals. Surface materials with good chemical resistance help maintain appearance and performance over time. The key is to choose materials and finishes that can handle repeated cleaning and chemical exposure.
8、How do I choose the right cleanroom wall and ceiling system?
"Choosing a cleanroom wall and ceiling system starts with understanding the application requirements.

Important considerations include:

Industry and production process
Cleanliness classification
Fire resistance requirements
Cleaning and sterilization methods
HVAC integration
Future expansion needs
Budget and project schedule

An integrated wall and ceiling system can improve installation efficiency, simplify maintenance, and help achieve consistent cleanroom performance throughout the facility."
9、What information do you need to prepare an accurate cleanroom quotation?
"To give you a precise, realistic material layout and price breakdown, Pharma United engineering team just needs a few project basics:

Floor Plans: Any CAD files, PDF architectural layouts, or structural ceiling heights.
Project Classification: Your target ISO classes, GMP grades, and required temperature/humidity ranges.
Material Preferences: Your preferred panel core (e.g., Rockwool or Honeycomb) and steel thickness.
Project Scope: Let us know if you only need the raw wall/ceiling panels, or if we should include matching cleanroom doors, flush windows, covings, and HVAC components."
