The 4 mm high-pressure laminate (HPL) is a rigid composite material manufactured in accordance with EN 438 / ISO 4586 standards. It consists of more than 40 layers of high-quality kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resin, combined with decorative surface layers impregnated with melamine resin. These layers are consolidated under precisely controlled high temperature (≥150 °C) and high pressure (≥9 MPa) to form a dense, non-porous, and homogeneous structure.
The finished HPL surface exhibits excellent mechanical strength, impact resistance, abrasion resistance, and chemical resistance. It is non-hygroscopic, easy to clean, and resistant to common disinfectants, making it suitable for GMP-controlled cleanroom environments.
